Its the end of the season and I have collected a lot of stuff. Just wanted to remind all of you that if you want to buy any gear or anything in particular just send me a note and Ill let you know what I have. Its very random and the sizing is also all over the board. But maybe there is something one of you kids need! Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Well that was a much needed break. Got to get out of the snow and into the sun for some fun. I love seeing new countries and boy this one was unique. Some quick facts for you.. Off the coast of West Africa, Cape Verde consists of ten volcanic islands and five islets. The islands were uninhabited until discovered by the Portuguese in 1456; African slaves were brought here to work on plantations. Independence from Portugal came in 1975. African culture is most evident on the island of Santiago—where half the population lives. Cape Verde enjoys a stable democratic system. Water shortages hinder agriculture, but tourism is a growing industry.
Population: 476,000
Area: 4,036 square kilometers (1,558 square miles)
Language: Portuguese, Crioulo
Anyhow, I did some yoga, went surfing, stand up paddling, sight seeing, and did some major relaxing. It is nice to chill out. I don’t think I have relaxed this much since I have been able to start training from last injury. For the last eight months I have been so focused on getting back to where I wanted to be that I never really took my relax time. So this was great! I am now back in Austria ready to give it my all for another couple weeks training and testing.

Wow, I made it. I cant believe I finally got to race. February the 14th will always be a special day for me. A year ago before I knew I was going to get hurt again, I told myself that I was going to race World Champs in France, and I did it. I was lucky and a lot of work, physically and emotionally but it was a really cool step for me. I feel like I have come so far and its only the start to the next chapter! How exciting…..
So after all that hard work I am getting a break. A much needed one. I am headed to Cape Verde. So fun in the sun! I get to be on the other side of the line now… cheering on boys! Hear its going to be good swell if anyone wants to come surfing! he he see you guys in a week!

Had a great day today! I finished 19th in the World Championships and I am pretty stoked with that. It was a great day with sunshine and lots of fun. Got to debut my new red Shred goggles and what a perfect day to do it… Valentines day! It felt great to be back and just wanted to say thank for everyones support along the way.
Well I am all trained up and ready to rip. We had a good two days training in Veysonnaz and now we are on to Val d’Isere. I have been skiing pretty good but coming down on myself a bit hard because I really want to rip so hard. I have been working hard, I am prepared and ready to go. I am going to have a couple days rest and get my game face on! I am focused and ready to have some fun.
I was going through some photos and thought you might enjoy my early days with my game face on!

We are working on making it better for viewing the photos with a new gallery.
So we had two good days of training in Kirchberg, I got to ski GS!!!!!! It was so sweet except now I am so sore. I was pretty tired from doing a different event but it felt good and I was skiing pretty well. The girls, Sara, Hailey, Megan and I are going to train in Veysonnaz, Switzerland for a couple days before heading to France for the world champs. We are all feeling pretty good and fresh and we are excited to rip it up!
So I had a great last day in Malbun with two great runs of slalom. It felt great, I had the two fastest times for my first and second run so that was really great for me. I did have the freshest courses going first but it was still nice to be out there and on it with some good times on the course. Hailey Duke won the race again and Sarah got second so team USA is really heating up for the World Championships! Already Lindsay Vonn did great in Val d’Isere by winning the Women’s Super G! Way to go girl!
I got two days off from training and went to Lienz to rest, relax. Just watching the girls on tv gets me chomping at the bit to get out there and give it my best.

FIS Races are awesome!!! Cool places, where they bang out races like you have never seen. Today I got to forerun for both the men and women courses which was great for me. Time on the race course is what I need right now and that is what I got today! It was sunny and windy up on the mountain today which made for some pretty good snow. I came here with two of my teammates Hailey Duke and Sarah Schleper and they ripped it up! Hailey won and Sarah got fourth. Great training for everyone! We have another race tomorrow where I am going to forerun again so that will be fun. My knee is feeling pretty good, it feels strong but after a long day on the race course it still gets a bit sore. I am still taking my time and trying to be smart on the recovery. My first run of the day I really laid it down and had a great run! I was happy with it and it is a great feeling to be pushing it once again!
