Last couple days in Jackson. It has been beautiful. Its exciting to start packing and getting ready for something new. I am so ready to ski and totally over working out right now. I feel strong and pumped up. It is weird to start packing for winter when you feel like you have been on summer vacation for two years. Im over summer bring on the cold. Apparently its freezing in NZ so I will be suffering and all of you that are still enjoying summer can laugh at me.
Went on a few adventures with the sup board. Went up to Slide lake and played around and my friend Sarah and I went down the river with them and that was fun minus the hail storm we went through. Only in Wyoming right. Seriously…..
Well Ill be sad to leave but its time to get a move on it and get some good ol’ training in. I love drills and getting back on snow and those first few days your legs are burning. I love training! Cant wait.
Another couple good bike rides, big down hill ride tomorrow with my brother and cousin, some good food and another float down the river and maybe even some dancing at the coach will be a good end to the summer and a great way to head off to Winter wonderland. I cant complain!
I hiked Jackson Peak and it was fun. It was a lot mellower than I thought it was going to be. I have hike to Goodwin lake a few times but never farther. I went with my brother and Papa. It was a great day to do it and fun to hike together! Im on a mission to do things I have never done here in jackson and that was one off the list!

Big 26! Amazing how we just grow up so fast. My dad wasnt sure if Elise was turning 24 or 25 and then I realized that I am going to be turning 24 this year and I totally freaked out. I never think about it and then when I do I start hyperventilating.
We had a beautiful breakfast on the deck eating the best food ever cooked by Uncle Peter and we were lucky to have Auntie Linda with us too and her oh so cute dog! Now we are going to go float the river, so excited! Its hot out!

Had a hard week in Park City. Felt a little like a test rat but it was good to be there getting my butt kicked with some of the other crew. Had a great work out sess with Ernie and got to Mt. Bike with some of the other girls which was awesome fun. Always glad to be home though. Needed a good day off to do nothing so I can keep up the heavy lifting for these last couple weeks before we hit snow! Speaking of snow, I dug all my boots out of the garage to bring down and have some work done to them so that my feet wont hurt and so that I rip! he he Lange rocks!

My summer is almost over. My winters start on August 1st. That’s when we head to NZ and start to train and from there its pretty much non stop. I always try to get as much in when I’m home and I always try to do something new. I could be trying to do new things for the rest of my life and still have a list when I’m old here in Jackson, because there are so many things to do!
I went on a solo hike mission up to Lake of the Crags which was so cool. Its like this steep scramble to a beautiful secret little nook up in the mountains and you feel like you are on top of the world! It was great to go and do by myself because I had so many things flowing through my head. Its always so hard when you are training for something and want to stay in one place and focused. I always want to travel and see the world, but maybe its not always the best idea. Maybe its important to stay in one place for a little bit and build instead of jetting off somewhere no matter how much it kills me to stay. My dad told me when you are training for something special the best way to do that is stay peaceful, quite around you and good energy. Lately I have been doing a lot on my own or with my family so that has been peaceful and I dont mind skipping out on night life activities and getting lots of sleep and just doing my thing. Its fun to be in the zone.

Well it sure is nice to be home in Jackson. I have been having ton’s fun here. Mountain Biking, road biking… on my new purple Orbea, it is oh so sweet, camping, hiking, hanging out with my dad, brother, cousins, and friends… I am getting my Jackson fill before heading out to New Zealand
